Psalm 37v4 Has Conditions

Posted: January 9, 2013 in Good Morning, Uncategorized

Have you been quoted Psalm 37 when things are not working, to let you know that God has your heart’s desire in focus? Do the “encouragers” also mention that there are a few things you are to do? Yes, we are to delight ourselves in the Lord, and yes, He will satisfy the desires of our heart. A heart that is filled with selfish desires will raise God’s eyebrows though.

We can pray for a host of desires, and if they are way off, God will be putting us on blast. We tend not to mention the other verses in Psalms 37, maybe because we are taking for granted that everyone knows them all. Let us say that we do not. We can’ be fretful about who has and we do not, neither can we not seek his righteousness, and his faithfulness. God wants our relationship, anything where we communicate with him and desire him.

Our desires are on point when we commit our ways to the Lord, trusting him. He promises a revelation of his goodness. Whenever you are being quoted the desires verse, remember the rest. The rest is the condition of that relationship God wants. It is a relationship where the desire is granted and alot of pruning is occurring. It is filled with the proverb of the ways of the christian life, the life of the righteous, and of the wicked . David is not at all light on the comparison of righteousness and the penalty served to sin.

Your heart’s desire will not be considered when your ways are not aligned with God. Connect the perfect will of God with your heart’s desire, this is a complement to the satisfaction of the heart’s desire

Sincerely,
