(CNN):  The “kill switch,” a system for remotely disabling smartphones and wiping their data, will become standard in 2015, according to a pledge backed by most of the mobile world’s major players.

Apple, Google, Samsung and Microsoft, along with the five biggest cellular carriers in the United States, are among those that have signed on to a voluntary program announced Tuesday by the industry’s largest trade group.

All smartphones manufactured for sale in the United States after July 2015 must have the technology, according to the program from CTIA-The Wireless Association.

Advocates say the feature would deter thieves from taking mobile devices by rendering phones useless while allowing people to protect personal information if their phone is lost or stolen. Its proponents include law enforcement officials concerned about the rising problem of smartphone theft.

“We appreciate the commitment made by these companies to protect wireless users in the event their smartphones are lost or stolen,” said Steve Largent, president and CEO of CTIA. “This flexibility provides consumers with access to the best features and apps that fit their unique needs while protecting their smartphones and the valuable information they contain.”

HTC, Motorola, Nokia are among the other smartphone makers who have signed up, along with carriers AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and U.S. Cellular.

The feature would let a phone’s owner erase contacts, photos, e-mail and other information, and lock the phone so it can’t be used without a password.

The feature, which will be offered at no cost to consumers, also will prevent the phone from being reactivated without an authorized user’s consent. The data would be retrievable if the owner recovers the phone.

Some phone makers already include the ability to remotely wipe phones. In Apple’s latest mobile operating system, iOS 7, a feature called Activation Lock lets users prevent their phones from being reactivated even if they’re reset.

The new pledge marks a reversal for wireless carriers, who have resisted making the kill-switch feature mandatory. Industry representatives have said they fear hackers exploiting remote-kill technology, while critics accuse the industry of not wanting to lose revenue from replacing and activating stolen phones.

In Minnesota, the state legislature could pass a mandatory kill-switch bill as early as next week.

Oregon state Sen. Bruce Starr, president of the National Conference of State Legislatures, said his group “applauds today’s announcement unveiling the wireless industry’s commitment to reduce the number of smartphone thefts each year by providing anti-theft tools on future devices.”

“This voluntary effort serves as another positive illustration of the wireless industry adapting to address consumer needs through self-regulation,” he said.

But an optional deal didn’t go far enough for others.

International music star David Guetta, together with the United Nations and international aid organizations tonight launched a music video for the new track ‘One Voice’, in support of “The World Needs More___” campaign to raise funds for humanitarian emergencies. The track and video were penned and performed for the campaign by music artist Mikky Ekko.

The music video was projected onto the exterior of the iconic United Nations Headquarters building in New York during a special launch event attended by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Under-Secretary-General Valerie Amos, David Guetta and many of the campaign’s key partners and supporters.

“The World Needs More___” campaign enables leading brands to sponsor a word they believe the world could use more of. Each time these words are shared on Twitter or through the campaign website www.theworldneedsmore.org, US$1 is unlocked to support aid efforts in the world’s most underfunded crises, literally turning words into action. The campaign was launched on World Humanitarian Day, 19 August, and the video is being launched now to raise funds that can go directly to ease the devastation and loss caused by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

David Guetta produced the video especially for the United Nations. “Music is a powerful way to connect and to bring people together,” said Mr. Guetta. “Together we can use our voices to make a real difference for people in need around the world. I am so honoured to be part of this campaign. If we can make a change just by saying what the world needs now and raise money to help the UN — wow. That’s incredible. I want the video to show just what the UN does to help people and use my community to share this — and them with their friends. I collaborate in my music; I want us all to collaborate in this.”

“We know that humanitarian needs are growing and that if we are to meet those rising needs we must do things differently,” said Valerie Amos, UN Humanitarian Chief. “We need more partners and supporters. This campaign is a chance to do just that and we are grateful to David Guetta for lending his voice and talent to this cause.”

The music video was directed by Michael Jurkovac together with advertising agency Leo Burnett New York. It was broadcast in real time through Livestream via Mr. Guetta’s Facebook page. Following the music video’s debut, the building was used as the backdrop for an interactive Twitter wall, becoming the canvas for tweets from around the globe. David Guetta has 47 million Facebook followers and 16 million on Twitter, making him one of the most followed people in the world.

“The World Needs More ____” campaign has been extended until 31 December 2013.

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

“The World Needs More__” campaign is a collaborative effort between the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the UN Foundation, the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA), and advertising agency Leo Burnett New York.

The fact of this is spoken by a factivist. Bono uses facts to tell us about the changes and the things that are still to be changed in the world to make it a better place.

Though I am not in a state to palate his sexual undertones and other religions notes, his points of feasible alleviation of the horror that exists in this world is precision. It must however be mixed with more than just monetary capabilities, and be infused with human morality and our humanness.  We must more than mention the connotation of God, and include Him in the action.

An incorporation of the power of prayer will amaze many who just see this end time as a period in history, but recognize the prophesy.  The inclusion of Christ who was murdered to shed His blood for causes just like this one will shake the global boots of the demon leader called Satan.  This inclusion should not be eminently visible, just actively prominent.

Take a look and listen to Bono. We can help.  Join in and share Christ in this movement.

Being Born-again has various meanings for a variety of people.  When The Lord comes in to your Life, you can count on everything being brand new. Friday, December 7, was a great night to say V.I.P. and realize how important you are.  Virginity Is Possible was on the tip of everyone’s tongue. From patrons to artists to pastors.  The Lord can make you brand new, and nothing is impossible with God.

Image

The evening was on fire for God and every artist that ministered had their piece to share. One notable piece was from Nicovia  and Larix, with their undoubtedly brilliant collaboration of NewDay (by Nicovia)  and Good Morning (by Larix) the duo showed us in one piece to celebrate new beginnings and relish in God’s new every morning awakening love.

How can we not mention Great ministry and not talk about Mr. War In Ton himself, NaYan!  After “explaining his song, he had the crowd thumping to the infectious beats of his title track Mr.War In Ton and Pray-ay-ay.  No where can you see NaYan and not see Bishop, as he will always support his friend in the war against principalities.

Undoubtedly, the testimonies of the brave

and strong regarding virginity was also encouraging to let others know that Virginity is Possible.

We look forward to the next event of Virginity Is Possible and anticipate a global effect.

November 25th at Church of the Nazarene, Collymore Rock was a Fantastic explosion of letting God know that we want Him to control our lives.

Sonja, the Master of Ceremonies was a good bundle of craziness that we all enjoyed. She had every quip for her indoor land cruise, including the port of call near a volcano, and the wooziness of a rocky Ship. Both invited guests, as well as local acts did a fantastic deed in proclaiming War fare, with Mr. War-In-Ton Nayan Warrington.

This was a cruise where we will all remember the lesson of Letting God take us to His banquet table, and relish us with His goodness, as we let him in to captain our ship.

We all know how sometimes we desire to drop anchor at pleasurable ports, but when we do, the Lord has to send out a life saver and a raft to collect us.  To view photos of the event and other information, go to our website, www.thec2project.com

Friday, November 30, 2012, The Island of Barbados is celebrating 46yrs of independence. To many, it may be just another year, and another day; however, if you know about the history of the Caribbean region, you now how much this means to our people. Not just Barbados, but the entire archipelago. It means we became our own government, and said how things were to be run with little or no interference from the European monarchy.

We are a free people, with the ability to make our choices about what ever we want. It’s that plain and simple. There have been, and still are challenges that we need to iron out, carry to the threshing floor as a nation and a region. However, we maintain our freedom, with a severed umbilical cord, and a continual emotional and cultural bond to the Monarchy.

Our Freedom is celebrated daily as we see that we can publicly tell others about Jesus, and how much he can do for them. So, this independence, introduce someone to a freedom where they can choose to depend on the Lord God, Jehovah, Jirah, El Shaddai, Elohim, Nisi, and what they need him to be.

I was going through the Billboard charts for gospel music with a fine tooth comb does not make the find multiply.   As much as we may look we will not see gospel music as much as secular music. I will say though that the ones on are forces to be reckoned with. They are constant, and we know most of them.

I am ever proud of the Artists on the charts, and even more proud of the charts that are being created for and of Gospel Music.
Here are a few of them:
